Born Dec. 22, 1913 in Petersburg, she was the daughter of Frank and Essie (Taylor) Thomas. She was married to B. David Workman.
She was a homemaker and a retired school teacher from Bloomfield Elementary School. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi and the Mothers Club and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield. She graduated from Petersburg High School and Indiana State University.
Survivors include: her husband B. David Workman of Columbus and formerly of Bloomfield; one daughter Carol and her husband Wayne Blankenship of Seymour; one son Tom and his wife Judith Workman of Cape Coral, Fla.; three grandchildren, Mathew and his wife Julie Workman of Fort Myers, Fla., Elizabeth Workman of Fort Myers, Fla., and Krista and her husband Ian Lane of Boston, Mass.; and one great-granddaughter Amelia Grace Workman of Fort Myers, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield with the Rev. Brent Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and from 2 p.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
