Born June 18, 1914 in Greene County, he was the son of Raymond and Pearl (Davis) Casner. He married Georgia Ailene (Miller) Casner on Jan. 2, 1937.
He was a self-employed farmer and a member of Newark Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing country music on his guitar.
Survivors include: his wife Georgia Ailene (Miller) Casner of Bloomfield; one son Charles Raymond Casner of Bloomfield; one brother Paul Casner of Bloomfield; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Wilbert Casner and a sister Ada Frye.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield with the Rev. Paul Vance Casner and the Rev. Raymond McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Visitation was Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to services today at the funeral home.
