Opal L. Carter, 92, of Worthington, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005 at Lyons Health and Living Center.

Born Dec. 26 ,1912 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Michael Franklin and Nettie Mae (Harned) Hochgesang.

She was a homemaker and a member of Worthington Christian Church.

Survivors include: her husband John "Bob" Carter of Worthington; a son David and his wife Karen Carter of Columbus; a grandson Mike Carter of Columbia, S.C.; and a great-granddaughter Shelby Carter of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Robert A. Carter, and two brothers.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Worthington Cemetery with Bob Grider officiating.
