Charles William "Charlie Bill" Smith, 40, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005 at Bloomington Hospital.

Born Nov. 11, 1964 in Terre Haute, he was the son of Charles Vincent Smith II and Barbara Anne Padgett Smith.

He was a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was an avid reader and loved movies and music. His favorite movies and books were science fiction, fantasy and comedy.

Survivors include: his mother Barbara Anne Smith of Bloomington; and two sisters, Helen Luanne Smith, and Annalee Long and her husband J. Gregory, all of Bloomington.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington is in charge of arrangements.
