Helen R. Pershing, 85, of Pearland, Texas, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Garden Terrace Nursing Home in Houston, Texas.

Born September 6, 1919 in Linton, she was the daughter of Everett and Eliza (Fearnot) Ramsey.

She was a clerical worker with the United States Government Agricultural Department.

Survivors include: a daughter Pat Lewis of Pearland, Texas; two sisters, Luanne Floyd of Linton and Nola Duncan of Bloomington; two brothers, Paul Ramsey and Leo Ramsey, both of Bloomfield; two grandchildren, Mark Lewis and Jeanne Odenbach, both of Houston, Texas; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Alice Fields, a brother Erwin Ramsey and an infant daughter Ada Ann.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Bloomfield.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
