Born June 30, 1945 in Slayton, Minn., he is the son of Russell and Agnes (Kaumm) Engler.
He owned and operated Switz City Tire and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include: his wife Brenda L. (Newman) Engler of Switz City; five sons, Gary Glander of Tamaroa, Ill., Bill Glander of Millville, Minn., Mark Glander of Chester, Ill., Orville James Engler Jr. of Worthington, and Glenn Russell Engler of Percy, Ill.; a step-daughter Jennifer Ann Lee of Rochester, Minn.; two step-sons, Jeremy Allen Lee of Rochester, Minn., and Dave Ratajczyk of Herrin, Ill.; three sisters, Rodella Bierworth of Oakdale, Minn., Diane Mitchell of Fulton, Ill., and Doretta Vinson of Ruthton, Minn.; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and his first wife Nancy Engler.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Jack Talber officiating. Burial will be in Switz City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
