Born in Linton on Sept. 15, 1912, she was the daughter of Richard and Vina (Flake) Baker.
She was a member of the Church of Christ and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, both of Linton. She worked as a secretary for the Lockheed Representative at Crane. She had worked as a secretary for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and the Jimmy Clayton Insurance Office, both in Linton.
Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Paul Steele of Carlisle; a step-son Bob Armpriester of Martinsville; a step-daughter Patricia Rusher of Greenwood; a grandson Kyle Steele of Camden, S.C.; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Rowan Steele.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry C. Armpriester, and three sisters.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 11 a.m. on Friday, with Brother Jerry Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m., and after 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
