Donald Ray Kristler, 71, of Linton, passed away at 1 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2005 at his residence in Linton.

Born Sept. 19, 1933 in Linton, he was the son of Everett and Dora (Wheeler) Kristler.

He was a retired lineman, a member of the IBEW Local 1393, based in Indianapolis, and an Army veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 22 and Moose Lodge 1434, both of Linton.

Survivors include: his former wife Wanda M. (Weaver) Baker of Linton; a daughter Lori Ann Stewart of Linton; two sons, Audie Ray Kristler of Linton and Allen Kristler; two brothers, Lawrence Kristler of Linton and Robert Kristler of Washington, Ill.; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Max Tannehill and Grover "Jode" Tannehill, and his parents.

Friends may call at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday. There will be no funeral service.
