Bobby G. Bennett, 45, of Linton, passed away at 2:04 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Sullivan Community Hospital in Sullivan.

Born Oct. 21, 1959 in Sullivan County, he was the son of Billy F. and Alice Marie Bennett. He was married to Zina A. (Mounier) Bennett.

He was a correctional officer at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. He was a member of Linton Masonic Lodge 560 F&AM and the Greene County Shrine Club.

Survivors include: his wife Zina A. Bennett of Linton; his father Billy F. Bennett of Sullivan; godchildren, Kayla and Sean Jacobshagen; a brother Billy J. Bennett of Merom; five half brothers, Rick, Terry, Jerry, Jim, and Dean; three half-sisters, Carolyn, Sherry and Beth Ann; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and a half brother Gerald.

Funeral service will be conducted at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, Linton on Monday at 1 p.m. with Gary Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Scotland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Monday at the funeral home.
