Marceline M. Norton, 83, of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and formerly of Linton, passed away Friday, April 1, 2005 at the Sierra Health Care Center in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

Born Nov. 21, 1921 in Linton, she was the daughter of Octave and Mary (Reynier) Mercier.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Doris Norton of Dundee, Ill.; two brothers, Henry Mercier of Linton and George Mercier of Bloomington; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law Michael and Connie Norton of St. Charles, Ill.; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlynn Norton of St. Charles, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Norton, and her parents.

Funeral Services will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 1 p.m. on Thursday with Father Hilary Vieck officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Thursday until the time of service.
