Larry G. Brown, Sr., 64, of Linton, passed away at 6:37 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2005 at Deaconess Hospice Care in Evansville.

Born April 20, 1941 in Johnson, he was the son of Cecil Brown and Lois (Larkins) Driskell. His step-dad was Jerry Driskell of Princeton and his step-mother was Margaret Brown of Owensville.

He was the manager of G.C. Murphy in Linton for 17 years, CSN-Terre Haute and worked for Great Dane in Brazil. He was a member of the Church of God in Linton.

Survivors include: a daughter Diana L. Harris and her husband Dave of Linton; a son Larry G. Brown and his wife Michelle of Patoka; five grandchildren, Tayler and Katlin Harris, Kaylee and Elaina Brown and Mercedes Brown; one brother Don Brown and his wife Cheryl of Princeton; three half-brothers Walter (Bob) Brown of Buckskin, Thomas Brown of Yankeetown, and Dan Brown of Decatur, Ill.; and three half-sisters, Jane Wira of Elberfeld, Cecilia Hill of Francisco, and Lorilee Wyatt of Booneville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, Linton, at 7 p.m. on Friday with the Rev. John Catchem officiating.

Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
