Gerald "Gene" Gwaltney, 75, of Petersburg and formerly of Lyons passed away on Wednesday, June 22 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was born May 12, 1930 to Mary and Maurice Gwaltney.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and also worked for Indianapolis Power and Light.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Gwaltney; sons, three sons, Michael L. Gwaltney of Bruceville; David E. Gwaltney of Sandborn; and John R. Gwaltney of Martinsville; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 25 at the First Christian Church in Petersburg with burial in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Vincennes. Robert Harris Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
