BEDFORD ---- Delema Twanette (Hanners) Reed, 68, of Springville, passed away at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at her home.

Born Oct. 20, 1936 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of James and Emma Edna (Brown) Hanners.

She worked at U.S. Gypsum and Crane and was a dispatcher for the Bedford police and a caregiver. She graduated from Bedford High School and was a member of Scotland Full Gospel Church.

Survivors include: her children, Eudora Watkins of Springville, William P. Cobb of Bedford, Kyle P. Cobb of Tennessee, and Robert A. (Buzz) Reed of Bloomfield; two brothers, Leonard Hanners of Williams, and Sam Hanners of Williams; three sisters, Sandra Lindsey of Florida, Becky Guilkey of Indianapolis, and Terry Beedie of Heltonville; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert C. Reed, who passed away in September 1993, a son James B. Cobb, two brothers, Lionel and James H. Hanners, and a sister Barbara June Anderson.

Funeral service was at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev. Ron Helderman officiating. Burial followed in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
