Born March 30, 1942 in Linton, he was the son of Leon L. Dailey and Dorothy (Houchin) Dailey Barnaby.
He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include: his wife Dixie A. (Moss) Dailey, whom he married June 25, 1991; two daughters, Crystal Boes of Fargo, N.D., and Tanya Keller of Linton; three sons, J.V. Dailey and Richard Dailey, both of Terre Haute, and Thomas J. Dailey, Jr. of Shelbyville, Tenn.; two step-sons, Troy L. Houchin and Tracy L. Houchin, both of Linton; two brothers, David Dailey of Linton and Les Dailey of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Carolyn Cunningham and Veleta Malone, both of Linton; 10 grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Tammy Sue Dailey, a sister Martha Sisk, and two step-mothers, Annabelle (Hart) Dailey and Mary (Stalcup) Dailey.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, and after 9 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
