Born Dec. 19, 1909 in Bloomfield, he was the son of James and Ione (Whitaker) Hasler. He was married to Esther (Branstetter) Hasler.
He was a power consultant for REMC. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife Esther Hasler of Bloomfield; a son Kim Hasler of Chandler, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Jason Hasler of Linton, and Kent Hasler, Kristina Hasler, Karolyn Hasler, and Kyle Hasler, all of Chandler, Ariz.; and a great-grandchild Bailey Hasler of Linton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Kent Hasler, who passed away in 1977, two brothers, Orel and S. Edward Hasler, and a sister Margaret York.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler and the Rev. Lynn Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, and one hour prior to service Sunday at the funeral home.
