Gerald "Buzz" Keene, 71, of Scotland passed away at 9:05 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2005 at Bloomington Hospital.

He was born in Greene County on April 12, 1934 to Ralph Keene and Vera Daniels Keene.

He was a graduate of Union High School and a member of Harvest Community Church in Bloomfield.

He is survived by his wife Victoria E. Stone Keene; one son, Myron Russell and wife Nancy Keene of Lakeland, Fla.; two daughters, Michelle and husband Dennis Wallace of Huntingburg and Christina Jo Friede of Crane; two sisters, Betty and Tom Lippeatt of Terre Haute and Charlotte and husband Milton Gittleman of LaTrobe, Pa.; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Laurie Denise Ragens and a brother Robert Keene.

Ceremation is scheduled and there will be no visitation. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on July 9 at Harvest Community Church in Bloomfield with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Scotland Cemetery.

Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger is in charge of arrangements.
