Jack W. Taylor, 65, of Vicksburg, passed away at 11 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005 at his residence.

Born July 19, 1940 in Linton, he was the son of George and Cleo (McBride) Taylor.

He was retired from Amax Coal Company and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.

Survivors include: two daughters, Diana Hamilton of Jasonville and Dena Baney of Pennsylvania; a son Ron Taylor of Fayetteville, Ark.; a grandson Derrik Hamilton of Jasonville; and two granddaughters, Tabitha Taylor of Fayetteville, Ark., and Alyssa Baney of Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda (Prather) Taylor, who passed away June 13, 1992, an infant son Kim Taylor, and a sister Imogene Poe.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. on Thursday.
