Linda L. Hicks, 44, of Sandborn, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born March 19, 1961 in East Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Edward Shonk of Roselawn and Martha Lee (Waggoner) Cobb of Sandborn. She was the step-daughter of Sandy Shonk.

She was a former employee of Excell USA in Vincennes.

Survivors include one son Christopher Shonk, of Sandborn; two daughters, Beth Hicks of Crown Point and Brook Hicks of DeMotte; one special friend Lola Kemis of DeMotte; three brothers, Harry Sulcer of Griffith, Ralph Sulcer of Griffith and Keith Shonk of DeMotte; five sisters, Frances Dickey, of Sandborn; Diane Dunagan of Sandborn; Sandy Cobb of Sandborn; Mary McKenzie of Fairland and Michelle Tovo of DeMotte.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Shonk and Julie Cobb and her step-father Nicolas Cobb.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton. Friends may call from 1-2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Hux Cancer Center at the Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
