Jessie M. Helms

Jessie M. Helms, 93, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005 at 2:50 p.m. at Lyons Health and Living Center.

Born Feb. 15, 1912 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Allen Bland and Joy Cox. She was married to Carl. F. Helms who passed away Aug. 20, 1997.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include, one son Hubert Carl Helms of Bloomington, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Raymond and Clyde Bland.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with visitation from noon until the hour of service today. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
