Thomas Ray Parsley

Thomas Ray Parsley, 54, of Bloomfield, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at Bloomington Hospital.

Born March 29, 1951 in Linton, he was the son of Johnnie Parsley and Mary Buher.

He worked in the mailroom at Indiana University and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Bloomfield and the VETS in Bloomington.

Survivors include: two daughters, Alnee Axe and Anika Parsley, both of Bloomfield; two granddaughters, Samantha and Abby; his mother Mary F. Wrightsman of Spencer; his father Johnnie Parsley of Bloomfield; a brother Jack Parsley of Ellettsville; a sister Cathy Ward of Solsberry; three nephews, Brent Parsley of Ellettsville, Andy Harper of Owensburg, and Greg Parsley of Bloomfield; a niece Missy Harper of Solsberry; two aunts and uncles, Bill and Mary Buher of Bloomington and Jim and Becky Buher of Springville; and four uncles, James, Robert, Orville, and Herman Parsley.

He was preceded in death by a son Chris Parsley and a brother Ivan Eugene "Pee-Dad" Parsley.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield with the Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will be at Owensburg Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to services today at the funeral home.
