Mable Z. Jacobs Coffey

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. ---- Mable Z. Jacobs Coffey, 65, of Middleburg, Fla., passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005.

Born Aug. 12, 1940 in Owen County, she was the daughter of Merle and Edith (Williams) Jacobs.

She was a graduate of Bloomington High School and had resided in Florida since 1979.

Survivors include: her husband of 48 years John David Coffey; a brother Harvey Jacobs of Bloomington; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and John Bingham of Middleburg, Diana Coffey of Middleburg, and Suzie and David Howard of Solsberry; nine grandchildren and their mates, Travis and Erin Baker of Jacksonville, Fla., Scott McArtor of Middleburg, Fla., Stacy and Marshal Jackson of Middleburg, Fla., Dana McArtor and Tony Beckworth of Middleburg, Fla., Stephanie Baker of Middleburg, Fla., Levi Howard and Jenn Gross of Solsberry, John and Jessica Bingham of Bedford, Brian Bingham of Springville, and Nicole Bingham of Greensboro, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Kaylie, Amanda, Brooks, Chelsea, Gavin, Hannah, Bronwen, Jessica, and a new one due in February 2006.

She was preceded in death by her infant son John David Coffey Jr. in 1962, her parents, a sister Barbara Wilson, and three brothers, David, Ralph, and James Jacobs.

A celebration of Mable's life will be at the Owensburg Baptist Fellowship Hall on Sept. 10 at 12:30 p.m.

There will be no graveside service.

Broadus Raines & Pons Funeral Home, Green Cove Springs, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
