Viola Moody Reed, 78, of Fort Myers, Fla., passed away at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005 at Gulf Coast Village Care Center, Cape Coral, Fla.

Born Aug. 20, 1926 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Ora and Bonnie (Hall) Weddle.

She was a retired bookkeeper for Sprinkle Grain Elevator and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Cape Coral, Fla.

Survivors include: her husband Floyd C. Reed of Fort Myers, Fla.; a son Edwin Moody of Tuscola, Ill.; five grandchildren, Tammy Sparling of Sullivan, Dawn Hale, Lily Hale, and Page Gabbard, all of Tuscola, Ill., and Baily Sparling of Sullivan; a brother Elmer Weddle of Linton; three nieces, Diana Weddle of Rossville, Ill., Bonnie Pearison of Worthington, and Donna Bechtel of Odon; and a nephew Phillip Weddle of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Doug Moody, and a brother John Weddle.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Lyons, with Diana Weddle officiating. Burial will be at Marco Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
