Roger S. Hasler, 56, of Sullivan, passed away at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at his residence.

Born Sept. 4, 1948 in Linton, he was the son of Leland and Eurtis (Gainey) Hasler. On Sept. 14, 1968, he married Brenda J. Bechtel.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a laborer. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Carlisle, American Legion Post 245, Elnora and a lifetime member of the VFW.

Survivors include: his parents Leland and Eurtis Hasler of Newberry; his wife Brenda Hasler of Sullivan; a son Kelly S. Hasler and his wife Marlana of Terre Haute; two daughters, Melissa A. and her husband J.R. Sluder of Carlisle, and Jeanna M. and her husband Jeremiah Walters of Sullivan; six grandchildren; and one sister Kay Nolting of Indianapolis.

Funeral service will be at Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor David Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Elnora Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
