Sherrell Dean Strahle, 74, of Linton, passed away at 1 p.m. Thursday Sept. 29, 2005 in Linton.

Born April 2, 1931 in Greene County, he was the son of John Wesley Strahle and Mary Jane (Gabbert) Strahle. He was married to Susan J. (Monroe) Strahle.

He was a construction superintendent for Red Top Rentals, Inc. He was a member of Linton First Christian Church, the Circle of Love Sunday School Class, the Dugger Masonic Lodge #721, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute and the Zorah Shrine.

Survivors include: wife, Susan J. Strahle; one brother, James L. Strahle of Linton; two sons, Dane Strahle and his wife Sonie, of Dugger, Shawn Strahle and his wife Ann of Bloomington; four daughters, Gwen Hicks and her husband Gary of Terre Haute, Lisa Strahle of Dugger, Sherry Strahle of Linton and Sarah Wall and her husband Tommy of Sandborn; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Juanita and Virginia and two brothers Maurice and Wesley.

Friends may call during the visitation hours from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and from noon until the hour of service on Sunday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel. A masonic memorial service will be held during the visitation at 7 pm on Saturday. Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Sunday. Burial will be at Clayton Cemetery.
