Scottie Ray Slater

Scottie Ray Slater, 28, of Springville, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005 in Hobbieville.

Born June 27, 1977 in Bloomington, he was the son of Carl R. and Barbara J. (Hash) Slater.

He was a laborer for Express Personnel Services in Bloomington.

Survivors include: his parents Carl and Barbara Slater of Springville; a daughter Ashley Danae Slater of Bloomington; his former wife Shelly Pate of Bloomington; his grandmothers, Freida Hash of Bloomfield, and Grace L. Slater-Browning of Bloomington; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ivan Hash, John Browning and William Slater.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Forrest Collings officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Bloomfield.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
