Born Nov. 21, 1917 in Scotland, she was the daughter of Thomas Irvin and Ethel May Waggoner Corbin.
She retired from J.C. Penney and worked as a cashier at Dollar General for several years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include: her children, Patricia Ann Wenz of Bicknell, Colvin Loy Johnson of Gainesville, Ga., and Vance Alan Fairhurst of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Alicia Ann Carlisle, Adam Wenz, Lori Ann Keene, Ancella Selby, Duane Johnson, George Johnson and Devin Johnson; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother Alvin Corbin.
Funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home, 521 Vigo Street, Vincennes, with the Rev. John F. Groves officiating. Burial will be in Scotland Cemetery. She will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. The family also asks friends to call at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the cemetery.
