Born Aug. 22, 1926 in Bloomfield, he was the son of Gilbert and Pearl (Lawrence) Barr. He was married to Betty (Stone) Barr.
He retired from Smith Cabinet in Salem, where he was a controller. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion in Cape Coral, Fla., the VFW in Salem, and the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis.
Survivors include: his wife Betty Barr of Floyds Knobs; a son Gary Barr of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter Marianne Keller of Floyds Knobs; and four grandchildren, Lindsey and Caleb Keller, and Allison and Ariana Barr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a half-brother Lawrence Kidd, and a half-sister Alma Spice.
Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating.
