He was born May 26, 1918 in Detroit, Mich.
He was a graduate of Central High School in Fort Wayne, Purdue University in Lafayette, and Ball State University in Muncie. He was a Quarter Century Member of General Electric and a member of SAE, SME, ASME, and a Shriner. He was listed in Who's Who in America for many years. He was a recipient of the Ralph Teeter Award and numerous other awards.
Survivors include: his wife Margaret Ann Mull McAleece of Fort Wayne; a son Stephen McAleece of Fort Wayne; a daughter Michele Mustakes of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Nicole D. Mustakes and Robert B. Coon, both of Fort Wayne, and Cheri Mantel of Belle Plaines, Minn.; a great-granddaughter Alexis Hamacher of Belle Plaines, Minn.; and two nephews, David and Brian McAleece, both of Santa Rosa, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his mother Kathryn McAleece of Fort Wayne, and a brother Robert McAleece of Santa Rosa, Calif.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call form 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
