OHIO CITY, Ohio -- Charles W. Knoll, 85, of rural Ohio City, Ohio, passed away at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2005 at Fort Wayne.

He was born Jan. 13, 1920 in Van Wert, Ohio. He had been married to Ethyel Rose (Hoffman) Knoll, who passed away May 25, 2000.

Survivors include a son Larry J. Knoll and his wife Susie of Linton, and two daughters, Sara J. and her husband Stephen Clark of Fort Wayne and Mary L. and her husband Ronald Treon of Dublin, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ethyel Rose Knoll.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, 616 S. Washington St., Van Wert, Ohio, with the Rev. Steve Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, Ohio.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
