Ruby Mae Cowell, 65, of Bloomfield, passed away at 8:08 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at Bloomington Hospital.

Born May 25, 1940 in Switz City, she was the daughter of Leo C. and Ella (Smith) White. She was married to Roger Cowell.

She was a clerk/manager in several retail stores, Meijer, Ben Franklin, and Thrift Dollar Store in Linton. She was a member of the Newberry Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include: her husband Roger Cowell of Bloomfield; two sons, Michael Suiter of Bloomfield and David Suiter and his wife Lina of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a granddaughter Devona Suiter of Virginia Beach, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Mary Ellen White.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Bill Pursell officiating. Burial will be in Switz City Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and from noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
