Born May 29, 1922 in Owen County, he was the son of Forrest F. and Edith (Powell) Jordan.
He retired from Stello, and was a self-employed carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and a member of the Spencer VFW and American Legion.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Young and Connie Sands, both of Poland; three step-children, John Decker of Spencer, Donna Walden of Wheatfield, and Charlotte Eggers of Martinsville; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Carpenter) Jordan, a stepson Bob Decker, a son-in-law Steve Ferguson, and two infant sisters.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Davy Dyer officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Spencer VFW and American Legion.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
