Hinkle H. Walker, 87, of Freelandville, passed away at 3:25 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2005 at Glenburn Home in Linton.

Born July 23, 1918 in Sullivan County, he was the son of Roland and Fannie Spencer Walker.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion at Bicknell.

Survivors include: his wife Ruby A. Walker; a son Doug Walker; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Indian Prairie Cemetery near Carlisle with the Rev. Paul Jones officiating.

Newkirk Funeral Home in Dugger is in charge of arrangements.
