Mary E. Niehaus, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005.

Born Aug. 7, 1922 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Clarence and Ruth Colen.

She was a utility worker for Western Electric, having retired in 1977. She was a member of Post Road Christian Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Dinita and her husband John LaBan and Phyllis Sowders; four grandchildren, Tony Sowders, Gina LaBan, Danielle Sturgis, and Jimmy Sturgis; and a great-grandson Cole Sowders.

Funeral service was Saturday at G.H . Herrmann Madison Ave. Funeral Home, Indianapolis. Burial followed at Washington Park East Cemetery.
