Nellie E. Jerrell

Nellie E. Jerrell, 82, of Linton passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 at Greene County General Hospital.

Born May 21, 1923 in Knox County, she was the daughter of Francis and Mae (Elkins) Newkirk.

Survivors include: Ronald Jerrell of Linton; Phillip Jerrell of Bloomington; Steve Jerrell of Hendersonville, Tenn.; one sister, Mable Bedwell of Edwardsport; and one brother, Ray Newkirk of Valparaiso.

She was preceded in death by: her husband George Jerrell in 1979; one daughter, Diane Sue Jerrell; and three sisters, Goldie Rose, Evelyn Arney and Bessie Newkirk.

Funeral service will at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. John Booker officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandborn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, and after 11 a.m. until time of service Sunday.
