Born Nov. 4, 1918 in Bicknell, she was the daughter of Fredrick and Myrtle (Nunley) Waymire. She had been married to Melvin Hill, who passed away Nov. 25, 1988.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center Senior Citizens.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and David Phegley of Beech Grove, and Vicki and Robert Gardner of Jasonville; a son and daughter-in-law Melvin I. and Jeannean Hill of Riley; nine grandchildren, Kathy Joan Coates, Kerry Scott Phegley and Teresa, Kelly Wayne Phegley, James Melvin Hill and Teresa, Elizabeth Ann Butts and Jerry, Gregory Alan Hill and Monica, Chris Alan Gardner and Jeanine, Denise Kay Morgan and Jack, and Aaron Charles Gardner; 13 step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and one step great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Agatha Cosby, a grandchild Kevin David Phegley, and a great-grandchild Noah Phegley.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, Jasonville, with the Rev. Marvin Miller. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Wilfred.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
