Born April 3, 1927, she was the daughter of Oswell H. Veller and Helen (Reynolds) Veller Laughlin.
She was formerly employed at Four Rivers in Lyons and did wallpaper hanging and dry walling. She was a former member of the Home League of the Salvation Army and the Violet Rebecca Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting and arts and crafts.
Survivors include: a daughter Doretta Walton of Linton; a sister Violetta Derossett of New Castle; seven grandchildren, Paula Walton, Scott Walton, Brian Walton, Marvin Walton, Christopher Walton, Eric Canada and Jennifer Canada; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather Ray Laughlin, a son Michael Canada and her parents.
Graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
