Born in Sandborn on Aug. 17, 1915, she was the daughter of Troy and Nellie (Shake) Trinkle.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Memorial Baptist Church and choir in Columbus, a former member of the First Baptist Church in Linton, The Kitchen Band, The Silver Tones, and a former volunteer for Columbus Regional Hospital, and Greene County General Hospital.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jo Wright of Lyons; two grandchildren, Vicki Mellady of Martinsville and Cindy Wright of Indianapolis; five great-grandchildren, Jenna, Cassie, Alexis, Zeb, and Eli; two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Elbert Hunter; two sisters, Ester and Myrtle; two brothers, Pete and Claude and her parents.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 2 p.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery south of Linton.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
