Born Jan. 23, 1930 in Greene County, he was the son of Herschel and Blanch (Allen) McIntyre. He was married to Marjorie (Heaton) McIntyre.
He had been a supervisor at AT&T-Indiana Bell, retiring in 1982 after 36 years of service and served with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge 84, and the Scottish Rite & Murat Shrine in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include: his wife Marjorie of Bloomfield; a son Bradford McIntyre of Sellersburg; a daughter Connie McIntyre of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Audri and Nolan Dwinell, and Brett and Lana McIntyre, all of Sellersburg; a sister Eugenia Smith of Plainfield; and a brother Terry McIntyre of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marsha Minks.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. Bloomfield Masonic Service will be at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home
