Barbara Lou Brown, 72, of Switz City, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006 at her residence.

Born June 16, 1933 in Linton, she was the daughter of James J. and Lagatha E. Wonders Arthur.

She was a member of the Switz City Christian Church.

Survivors include: her husband Robert E. Brown; a son James Robert Brown and his wife Jan of Upland, Calif.; a daughter Sandra Kay and her husband Larry English of Terre Haute; two grandchildren, Adam Christopher English and his wife Emily, and Susan Michelle Brown; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Christopher English and Abigail Grace English.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Phillips and Maxine Stringer.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Switz City Cemetery with Pastor Chris Gehring officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger is in charge of arrangements.
