Born Aug. 27, 1929 in Linton, she was the daughter of Hallie Howard and Edna (Jeffries) Bland.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Linton Ladies of the Moose and the American Legion Auxiliary in Jasonville.
Survivors include: four sons, Paul S. Coakley of Sullivan, Michael R. Coakley and his wife Darla, and John R. Coakley, all of Jasonville, and Tim Coakley of West Hollywood, Calif.; two daughters, Jean and her husband Jim Graham, and Mary and her husband Norman Farmer, all of Jasonville; a sister Dorothy Snell of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Paul E. Coakley, her second husband William F. Johnson, and a brother Norman Bland.
Funeral service will be conducted at Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with John Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
