Born May 1, 1938 in Bloomfield, he was the son of John Briscoe and Susannah Thomson.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and a self-employed appliance repairman in Clearwater, Fla., and Bloomfield. He attended the Methodist and Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include: his companion Linda (Collings) Briscoe of Bloomfield; two daughters, Linda Leanne Briscoe of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Cindy Lynn Sensini of Ocala, Fla.; a son John Sumner Briscoe of Ocala, Fla.; three stepsons, Richard Edward Baenen of Reno, Nev., Stephen Andrew Baenen of Florida, and Brad Collings of Bloomfield; a stepdaughter Tammy Patton of Bloomfield; three brothers, Bob Briscoe of Hampshire, Ill., Jack Briscoe of Inverness, Fla., and Danny Briscoe of Clearwater, Fla.; a sister Judith Mioduchoski or Fort Lauderhill, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Billy Sensini, Jessica Sensini, Josh Briscoe, Tiffany Briscoe, Parker Baenen, Shane Patton, Davey Patton, and Jimmy Patton; a brother-in-law James (Buck) Little of St. Charles, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Dolores Linda Briscoe, who passed away February 16, 1998, a son Billy Briscoe, a brother Gerald Briscoe, and a sister Bonnie Little.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. on Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield with Rev. Bob England and the Rev. Forrest Collings officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery, rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
