Marjorie Wilma (Roark) Spurgeon, 80, Jasonville, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, 2006 at Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasonville.

Born June 29, 1925 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Wiley Roark and Flora Ellen Padgett.

She was a homemaker who attended United Methodist Church in Odon.

Survivors include: one son, Robert Spurgeon of Jasonville; three grandchildren, Nichole Spurgeon, Richard Spurgeon and Nicholas Spurgeon; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Nelson Leroy Roark of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Spurgeon; two sons, Ronald Spurgeon and Richard Spurgeon; one grandchild, Rhonda Spurgeon; five brothers, Wilber Riley Roark, Ralph Roark, Donald Roark, Elwood Herbert Roark and Melvin S. Roark; and one sister, Elenaor Leona Roark.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Poindexter-Hall & McClure Funeral Home Odon Chapel with Pastor Chris McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
