Claude E. Roberts, 64, of Bloomfield, passed away at 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at his residence.

Born Oct. 15, 1941 in Greene County, he was the son of Ernest Roberts and Ilene Smith. He was married to Mary M. (Peters) Roberts.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a press operator for General Electric. He was a member of Crane VFW.

Survivors include: his wife Mary M. Roberts of Bloomfield; a daughter Holly Carol Hewitt of Bloomfield; a son Ernest Gene Roberts of Bloomfield; three brothers, Glen Roberts of Frankfort, Keith Roberts of Bloomfield, and David Roberts of Bloomington; a sister Edith Applegate of Manville, Texas; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bob Roberts.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will be in Owensburg Cemetery. There will be military services.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to service Tuesday at the funeral home.
