Evelyn Marie Johnson, 53, of Owensburg, passed away at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at her residence.

Born Sept. 5, 1952 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Earl Johnson and Ruth Roberts.

She was an inspector for General Electric in Bloomington.

Survivors include: her father Earl Johnson of Indiana; a sister Carolyn and her husband David Chase of Indiana; three brothers, Jimmy Johnson and his wife Sarah of Indiana, John Johnson and his wife Cindy of Florida, and Robert Hunt and his wife Sandy of Alabama; a sister-in-law Sandy Johnson of Indiana; a son Jamey and his wife Heather of Indiana; a daughter Shelly and her friend Bob of Indiana; grandchildren, Ashlea, Matthew, Marissa, Brayden, Maddie, Jamie, and Nicki; three aunts; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Johnson, a brother Stephen Johnson, a nephew Glen Brock, her grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kentucky Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Richard Chase officiating.

There will be no public visitation.
