Marshall Turpin, 77, of Bedford, passed away Monday, March 13, 2006, at his residence surrounding by loved ones.

Born Jan. 6, 1929 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Doyle and Mamie (Fleetwood) Turpin.

He attended the Dive Christian Church of Bedford.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary (Tincher) Turpin of Bedford; his children, Sandra Smith and Claude Turpin, of Indianapolis Elizabeth Pollard of Kentucky, Charles Turpin of Texas, Sherry Coy of Bloomfield, and Kenneth Turpin of Tennessee; a sister Freda Ross; and 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Marilyn Mathis and Francis Daugherty, and brothers, Doyle Jr. and Maurice Turpin.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Dive Christian Church, Bedford, with Pastor Johnson officiating.
