Marshall Turpin, 77, of Bedford, passed away Monday, March 13, 2006 at his residence.

Born Jan. 6, 1929 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Doyle and Mamie (Fleetwood) Turpin.

He attended the Dive Christian Church of Bedford.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary (Pincher) Turpin of Bedford; his children, Sandra Smith and Claude Turpin, of Indianapolis, Elizabeth Pollard of Kentucky, Charles Turpin of Texas, Sherry Cox of Bloomfield, and Kenneth Turpin of Tennessee; a sister Freda Ross; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Marilyn Mathis and Francis Darby, and brothers, Doyle Jr. and Maurice Turpin.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22 at Dive Christian Church, Bedford, with Pastor Johnson officiating.
