Born Nov. 20, 1959 in Washington, he was the son of George and Mary Cassidy.
He was an Army veteran and a corrections officer at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. He attended Crossroads Church of Christ in Sullivan.
Survivors include: his father and step-mother George and Barb Cassidy of North Forth Myers, Fla.; his wife Belinda (Nolting) Coakley Cassidy of Linton; a daughter Selena Alba of Woodstock, Ga.; a son Brandon Cassidy of Lawrenceville, Ill.; two step-sons, Matt Coakley of Washington, and Shawn Coakley of Linton; a step-daughter Kristine Keller of Linton; three brothers, Robert, John and Tim Cassidy, all of Washington; a sister Theresa Cassidy of South Carolina; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Tracy McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Bohley Cemetery, near Linton.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
