Born Sept. 20, 1919 in Sullivan County, he was the son of Ray and Dorothy (Jackson) Timmerman.
He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton, Masonic Lodge in Sandborn and VFW No. 7118 in Linton. He retired from Crane Naval Ammunition Depot and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include: his wife, Freeda Richardsville Timmerman; two sons, Butch Rausch and his wife Linda of Terre Haute and Raymond Paul Timmerman and his wife Sharon of Flint, Mich.; three daughters, Carol Stallings and husband Sonny of Guston, Ky., Cheryl Galligos and husband Paul of Murrayville, Ill., and Connie Clark and husband Dean of Vincennes; one sister, Edith Ann Bicknell of Linton; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday at Pleasantville United Methodist Church in Pleasantville with pastor Jonathan Shook officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasantville Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. (EST) Monday and from 9-11:30 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger.
