Born March 4, 1928 in Cayuga, he was the son of George Beaver and Evelyn (Keister) Beaver. He was married to Ellen (Sweat) Beaver.
He was a retired truck driver for Mayflower Van Lines, Bland Trucking, and Stiners Trucking. He was a member of Linton Moose Lodge #1434.
Survivors include: his wife, Ellen Beaver of Switz City; five sons, Bob Beaver of Terre Haute, David Beaver of Heustis, Fla., Raymond Beaver Jr. of Fairview Heights, Ill., Richard Beaver of Marshalltown, Iowa, and James Beaver of Switz City; three daughters, Gloria Jean Ramsey of Deltona, Fla., Rena Kent of Daleville, Ala., and Roxanna Mitchell of Switz City; two brothers, Homer Beaver of Fairbanks, and Ernest Beaver of Terre Haute; two sisters, Katherine Meneely and Glorian Hayworth, both of Terre Haute; 27 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three infant children, a grandchild, five brothers, and one sister.
Graveside service will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Switz City Cemetery. Linton Moose Lodge #1434 will do the graveside services.
There will be no public visitation.
