Brenda Joyce Arney, 59, of Loogootee, passed away at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2006 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Sept. 24, 1946 in Greene County, she was the son of Richard Paul Sparks and Margie Riggle. She was married to Michael Arney.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: her husband Michael of Loogootee; three children, William Gillis Arney of Solsberry, Paul Allen Arney of Newberry, and Leslie Joe Crop of Loogootee; five grandchildren; and a brother David Sparks of Jasonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and her step-dad Junior Lee Allen.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
